The National Television Awards 2025 delivered a landmark night at London’s O2 Arena on 10 September, celebrating three decades of Britain’s biggest TV honours with upsets, nostalgia, and a few controversies. Voted entirely by the public, the ceremony reflected both the enduring legacy of long-running favourites and the arrival of a new generation of stars.

Gary Lineker scored the night’s biggest shock, breaking Ant and Dec’s 23-year streak to claim Best TV Presenter just months after his BBC exit. EastEnders marked its own 40th anniversary with dual wins, including a long-awaited acting award for Steve McFadden, while Netflix breakout Adolescence and 15-year-old Owen Cooper proved the industry’s freshest force.
