Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcome second baby girl

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, nearly two years after becoming parents for the first time.

The couple announced the arrival on Friday, September 19, through a joint social media post featuring a simple image of a baby footprint. “Welcome Baby Girl. 19|9|2026 Dua, Deepika and Ranveer,” the announcement read, accompanied by an evil-eye emoji.

The arrival makes their two-year-old daughter, Dua, a big sister. Deepika and Ranveer welcomed Dua on September 8, 2024, and revealed her name a few months later. The couple had announced their second pregnancy earlier this year with a post featuring Dua holding a positive pregnancy test.

The latest announcement also follows a recent family moment at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple. Deepika and Ranveer visited the temple with Ranveer’s parents on September 18, just a day before announcing the birth of their daughter. The couple had made a similar temple visit with their families shortly before Dua’s birth in 2024.

Earlier this month, Deepika and Ranveer offered a glimpse into their journey towards becoming parents again with a series of black-and-white maternity photographs shared on Dua’s second birthday. The intimate images featured the couple with their daughter, with Deepika showing her baby bump.

Following Friday’s announcement, congratulatory messages poured in from several members of the film industry, including Masaba Gupta, Neha Dhupia, Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

With their latest arrival, Deepika and Ranveer are now a family of four, as Dua begins a new chapter as a big sister.
