Netflix is turning up the heat once again.
The streaming giant has officially renewed Single’s Inferno for Season 6, making it the first Korean variety show on Netflix to reach the milestone. Production is already underway, though the premiere date remains under wraps.
Since its debut in December 2021, the dating reality juggernaut has built a rare global footprint. Season 1 became the first Korean reality series to break into Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English TV).
Subsequent seasons only amplified that momentum, with Season 3 charting for five consecutive weeks and landing in the Top 10 across 31 countries.
Most recently, Season 5 climbed to No. 2 on the Global Top 10 non-English list, reinforcing what many fans call the show’s unstoppable “Solji Syndrome.”
Set on a remote island dubbed “Inferno” (or sometimes, Hell Island), the series strands singles who must cook, fetch water and—most importantly—form romantic connections to escape as couples. Its cocktail of emotional showdowns, brazen flirting and shifting alliances keeps viewers locked in week after week.
Announcing the renewal, producers Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Su-ji said, “Thanks to the fans who have consistently loved ‘Single’s Inferno,’ we are able to start a new season. We will listen to our fans’ opinions and strive to make ‘Single’s Inferno’ even hotter.”
Meanwhile, Netflix has set the Season 5 reunion for Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026, following a finale that saw five couples leave Inferno hand in hand.
