Number_i unveils the No.II (Deluxe) digital edition featuring new track “LAVALAVA.”

Japanese trio Number_i expanded their sophomore era at midnight JST on December 1 with the surprise release of the digital-only Deluxe Edition of No.II. It’s a newly expanded version of the album they launched in September.

The update adds one fresh track, “LAVALAVA,” giving fans a new glimpse into the group’s evolving sound after a year marked by chart-topping singles and high-profile festival appearances.

The Deluxe Edition features 17 songs in total, combining the original sequence with “LAVALAVA,” an upbeat, airy cut anchored by the reflective lyric, “All the regrets from that day, everything goes into the blue ZONE.”

The lyric echoes the emotional palette of “ATAMI,” one of the standout performances from the album’s rollout, and continues the band’s recent pivot toward more atmospheric, live-instrument-driven production.

An official visualizer for “LAVALAVA” premiered on YouTube at launch, while streaming platforms immediately placed the track into rotation.

Spotify spotlighted it as a drive song you’ll want to hum along to,” aligning with the group’s push to make the single a centerpiece. of a broader download and social campaign. The promotional calendar includes daily Canvas drops and coordinated posting across digital platforms.

The expanded edition arrives just two months after No.II’s standard release on September 22. It’s a project shaped by extensive creative discussions between members Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi.

Their sophomore effort followed the blockbuster impact of their 2024 debut No.I, the hit EP GOD_i, and a string of singles, including “U.M.A.” and “Numbers Ur Zone”. All of these mega-hit releases dominated Billboard JAPAN charts and strengthened their global profile.

With No.II (Deluxe), Number_i signals that their second album cycle is far from winding down, opting instead to build momentum through steady output and a clear global strategy.
