Louis Tomlinson has officially set his sights on 2026 for what could be his biggest solo year yet. The British singer-songwriter has announced his How Did We Get Here? World Tour today, a major arena trek running from early June to late July in North America and followed by dates across Europe and the UK—coinciding with the release of his third studio album, How Did I Get Here?, arriving January 23, 2026.
The North American leg begins June 3 in Vancouver, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, and a milestone debut at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 8, before wrapping July 24 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The European and UK shows kick off earlier, with dates in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Dublin, Brighton, and London in April and May.

The tour announcement arrives on the heels of Louis Tomlinson’s lead single “Lemonade“—a sunny, funk-infused track that sets the tone for this new era. “The most important thing was for the first single to sound ambitious sonically,” Tomlinson said. “It had to be big and fun. To me, ‘Lemonade’ really has instant and natural personality. It ended up being the perfect way to begin this chapter.”
The forthcoming record, which Tomlinson calls “the album I always deserved to make,” reflects an artist who has found creative confidence and emotional clarity after years of touring and evolving. “My bread and butter is my honesty,” he explained. “For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped to be.”
Tomlinson’s trajectory from his beginnings with One Direction to headlining global arenas has been steady but deliberate. His previous albums—Walls (2020) and Faith in the Future (2022)—laid the groundwork; this next phase promises deeper personal and musical commitment, promising a sound that’s more open, ambitious and refined, drawing inspiration from time spent in Costa Rica.
By announcing a full world tour in tandem with the album, Tomlinson is making a clear statement: this is his era. The scale of venues and the timing of the release (early in the year) suggests he is positioning himself at a new level of solo ambition, shedding any purely legacy-band associations to chart a solo identity that feels both personal and expansive.
The announcement also follows his self-curated Away From Home Festival in Cooperstown, New York—his first U.S. edition of the event—which drew acclaim for its intimate energy and strong lineup. With a major arena tour, a new album, and a fresh single already gaining traction, Tomlinson enters 2026 as an artist fully stepping into his prime—ambitious, grounded, and entirely in his element.
Artist presales begin October 8 at 10 a.m. (local time), followed by general on-sale October 10. Fans can register and find full tour details at louis-tomlinson.com.
