Bollywood’s eternal “King Khan” has added another crown to his name — billionaire. According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, released on October 1, Shah Rukh Khan has officially entered the billionaires’ club with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion (₹12,490 crore), making him the richest actor in the world and the only Indian film star to achieve this feat.
The 59-year-old actor and entrepreneur now sits above global entertainment icons including Taylor Swift ($1.3 billion), comedian Jerry Seinfeld ($1.2 billion), and Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.2 billion). This marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first-ever appearance in the billionaire rankings — a milestone three decades in the making for one of cinema’s most enduring global figures.

The Hurun report noted as it announced its rich list for 2025, “Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan (59), joins the billionaire club for the first time with a wealth of INR 12,490 crore.” For India, it reaffirms what fans and financiers alike have long known — SRK isn’t just the face of Indian cinema; he’s its most powerful brand.
While much of Khan’s early fortune came from an unmatched filmography that turned him into Bollywood’s most bankable star, the real leap to billionaire status comes from his sharp, strategic investments and business acumen.
His production house Red Chillies Entertainment — which includes a thriving VFX division — and his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, valued at over $1.1 billion, have become cornerstones of his empire. Alongside, his portfolio of global endorsements, tech investments, and real estate assets in Mumbai, Delhi, Alibaug, and Dubai further expanded his wealth footprint beyond film.
Within India’s entertainment landscape, Khan’s dominance is clear. The Hurun rankings place his longtime collaborator Juhi Chawla second among Bollywood’s richest with ₹7,790 crore, followed by Hrithik Roshan at ₹2,160 crore, Karan Johar at ₹1,880 crore, and Amitabh Bachchan at ₹1,630 crore — all still far behind SRK’s valuation.
The timing of this recognition aligns with a remarkable career resurgence. Following blockbuster hits Pathaan and Jawan, and with his next action feature King (co-starring daughter Suhana Khan) already generating anticipation, Shah Rukh’s momentum — both on screen and in business — remains unstoppable.
For fans, this achievement is more than a number. It’s the culmination of a journey that began in Delhi’s theatre circuits and transformed into a global empire built on charisma, consistency, and clever investments. The man once known for selling dreams on screen has, quite literally, turned his own into a billion-dollar reality.
As the Hurun India Rich List 2025 cements his new title, one thing remains unchanged — whether on set, at Mannat, or from the KKR stands, Shah Rukh Khan continues to define what superstardom looks like in the 21st century.
