Bad Bunny to headline 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Bad Bunny confirmed as headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

When the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys hit halftime on Sunday night, the scoreboard wasn’t the only thing lighting up. The NFL and Apple Music dropped one of the biggest cultural announcements of the year: Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

It’s a historic booking — and a symbolic one. For the first time, a Spanish-language artist will singlehandedly lead the biggest stage in American music, solidifying Latin pop’s global dominance.

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

A Cultural Touchdown

The 31-year-old Puerto Rican superstar — born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — has built an empire by defying boundaries: language, genre, and geography. His 2024 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos became his fourth Billboard 200 No. 1, each track landing on the Hot 100, and his “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” residency in Puerto Rico this summer reportedly boosted the island’s economy by hundreds of millions. He’s also continued his Hollywood streak, co-starring with Adam Sandler and Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2 and hosting the upcoming Saturday Night Live season premiere.

Bad Bunny’s halftime show will arrive on the heels of Kendrick Lamar’s Emmy-winning 2025 performance, a career-defining spectacle that featured SZA and Serena Williams. It also follows a recent lineup of major halftime acts — Usher (2024), Rihanna (2023), and Dr. Dre with Eminem and Mary J. Blige (2022) — all programmed under Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which continues to executive produce the event with Jesse Collins and DPS.

“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring,” Jay-Z said. “We’re honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”

From Guest to Headliner

This isn’t Bad Bunny’s first brush with the Super Bowl spotlight — he previously joined Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s 2020 performance, a vibrant showcase of Latin unity that drew global praise. But this time, the spotlight is entirely his.

“Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene,” said Jon Barker, the NFL’s senior vice president of global event production. “His ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice.”

A Moment Years in the Making

Since Roc Nation began curating the halftime show in 2019, the NFL has steered the event toward performances that reflect pop culture’s evolution rather than its past. In that sense, Bad Bunny’s headline slot feels inevitable — a culmination of years of global Latin crossover moments that started with Despacito and have since reshaped the pop landscape.

Apple Music’s vice president of music, sports, and Beats, Oliver Schusser, put it simply: “Few artists embody the intersection of music and culture more perfectly than Bad Bunny. His rise has been meteoric — and his impact, historic.”

The Road to Levi’s Stadium

Super Bowl LX will broadcast live on NBC from Levi’s Stadium — home of the San Francisco 49ers — on February 8. And if Bad Bunny’s track record is any indication, expect a show that’s visually cinematic, musically fearless, and culturally seismic.

For an artist who’s already rewritten the rules of fame, language, and performance, this is more than a halftime gig — it’s the victory lap of a generation.
