Olivia Rodrigo brings back the spirit of Lilith Fair with new Daisy Chain Fields festival

Olivia Rodrigo Announces All-Female Daisy Chain Fields Festival

Olivia Rodrigo is taking her commitment to community and representation beyond the stage with the launch of Daisy Chain Fields, a new not-for-profit music festival featuring an all-female lineup and a charitable mission.

Announced during a recent cover story interview with Pitchfork, the festival will take place on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, bringing together a multigenerational roster of women artists and female-fronted acts.

Rodrigo will headline alongside Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, KATSEYE, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Santigold, Rachel Chinouriri, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Eli, Not For Radio and Quiet Light. The event will also feature special appearances from legendary artists Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Karen O.

Inspired by the spirit of Lilith Fair, the groundbreaking women-led festival founded by McLachlan in the 1990s, Daisy Chain Fields aims to celebrate female artistry while supporting meaningful causes. According to Rodrigo, the festival has been a long-held dream and a response to what she sees as a growing need for positivity, community and connection through music.

Unlike traditional festivals, Daisy Chain Fields will operate as a nonprofit event. Rodrigo revealed that none of the participating artists will profit from the festival, with 100 percent of net ticket proceeds benefiting organizations that advocate for women and girls, including Planned Parenthood and the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health.

In her interview, Rodrigo described the festival’s vision as a blend of flower-child energy and riot grrrl spirit, emphasizing empowerment, solidarity and joy. The singer also shared that she hopes the event will provide young women with visible role models while creating a space centered on music, community and collective support.

With one of the year’s most notable festival lineups and a clear social mission, Daisy Chain Fields is positioning itself as more than a concert. It is a statement about the power of women in music and the communities they help build.
