Papa Johns is taking Pixar nostalgia from the screen to the real world. Ahead of the release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, the pizza chain has launched “Papa Johns Pizza Planet”, a global campaign inspired by the iconic pizza arcade from the original 1995 film.
The collaboration marks the first official pizza-brand partnership tied to a Toy Story movie release. To celebrate the upcoming film, which arrives in theaters on June 19, 2026, Papa Johns is rolling out themed menu items, collectibles, pop-up experiences, merch and an in-app game across select international markets.
A real-world pizza planet
The centerpiece of the campaign is a series of immersive Pizza Planet pop-ups in Los Angeles, London, Seoul and Madrid. Designed with retro sci-fi décor, arcade games, claw machines and themed photo spots, the activations recreate the beloved restaurant from the first Toy Story film, where Woody and Buzz’s adventure famously began.
The Los Angeles launch took place on June 12, with additional pop-ups running through mid-June in the other cities.

Themed menu and collectibles
Papa Johns is also introducing a limited-time Toy Story 5 personal pizza lineup available in the U.S. and 42 international markets from June 1 to July 19, 2026.
The menu includes:
- Space Ranger Roni: made with Papa Johns signature pizza sauce, real cheese made from mozzarella and double pepperoni
- Sheriff’s Round Up: made with smoky Southern-style barbeque sauce, real cheese made from mozzarella, grilled chicken and onions
- Reach for the Pie: made with Papa Johns signature pizza sauce, real cheese made from mozzarella, Italian sausage and banana peppers
In the U.S., each pizza comes with a new Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch Dip Cup, a ranch-based sauce infused with pepperoni flavor, tomato, herbs and spices. Fans in select international markets can also collect limited-edition Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie collectibles with eligible purchases while supplies last.

A major global push
The campaign will run through the end of July and is backed by a 360-degree global marketing rollout, including a custom animated commercial produced by Pixar Animation Studios.
A full version of the spot is set to debut on June 1, with teaser footage already appearing on Papa Johns’ social channels.
Disney and Papa Johns executives described the collaboration as a blend of nostalgia, family entertainment and shared experiences around pizza, with the campaign positioned as one of Papa Johns’ largest international partnerships to date.
“This collaboration unites two iconic brands rooted in quality, creativity and bringing people together,” said Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer, Papa Johns. “The joy and imagination of Toy Story, combined with our commitment to great pizza is an authentic way for us to create something special – and delicious – for our fans.”
Echoing the sentiment, Lylle Breier, EVP, Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy & Events at The Walt Disney Studios said: “Toy Story is beloved by generations, and our all-new movie Toy Story 5 continues the legacy in a fresh and exciting way,” said Breier.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Papa Johns and bring Toy Story to fans in a whole new flavor – literally. Our collaboration is the perfect blend of comfort, nostalgia and something refreshingly new, taking the celebration to infinity and beyond.”
What ‘Toy Story 5’ is about?
The new film reunites Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang as they face a new challenge: a tech-savvy tablet named Lilypad, voiced by Greta Lee.
The movie is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins and features an original score by Oscar winner Randy Newman, who returns to score his fifth Toy Story feature.
The film releases exclusively in theaters June 19, 2026.
