Everything you need to know ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards are around the corner, and the Recording Academy has set the stage for one of the most ambitious ceremonies in recent memory.

Taking place tomorrow, Sunday, February 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the 2026 Grammys promise a high-energy night defined by major performances, expanded categories and a historically diverse voting body.

The ceremony will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand via Paramount+, with additional highlights and exclusive content available throughout the year on live.grammy.com.

This year, the Recording Academy pushes boundaries by expanding its most prestigious categories. Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist now feature 10 nominees each, doubling the usual number and amplifying the suspense around every announcement.

The Academy also introduces Best Album Cover for the first time, finally recognizing the visual storytelling behind some of the year’s most celebrated releases. Meanwhile, Best Country Album splits into Traditional and Contemporary categories, reflecting the genre’s evolving soundscape.

With approximately 3,800 voters—the most diverse pool in Grammys history—selecting this year’s winners, the 2026 ceremony marks a pivotal moment for representation across genres and generations.

Leading the nominations is Kendrick Lamar, who enters the night with nine nods, including Album of the Year. Close behind are Lady Gaga, producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff with seven nominations each, while Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas and Sabrina Carpenter follow with six nods apiece. The performer lineup reflects the same cross-genre ambition. So far the confirmed artists include Lady Gaga, ROSÉ, Tyler The Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Lauryn Hill, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, Lola Young, SOMBR, Alex Warren, and The Marías. Several of the current Best New Artist nominees will perform together in a special showcase segment. Read more about it here.

The evening will also feature powerful In Memoriam tributes, including performances honoring Ozzy Osbourne, D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, with appearances from Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson.

Returning to host for the sixth and final time, Trevor Noah will guide audiences through the night. “We can’t wait to do it together one last time,” Grammy producer Ben Winston shared ahead of the show.

Presenting duties will be handled by an all-star lineup including contemporary icons like Harry Styles, Doechii, Chappell Roan, Charli xcx, Carole King, Teyana Taylor and Queen Latifah.

For viewers tuning in from abroad, red-carpet coverage begins around 9pm UK time, with the main ceremony starting at approximately 1am. Fans can also stream red-carpet arrivals on Grammy.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel.

As the music industry gathers to celebrate a year of bold releases, creative risk-taking and cultural impact, the 2026 Grammys are shaping up to be a night that reflects not just where music has been—but where it’s headed next.
