KCON has confirmed its first major details for 2026, locking in dates for its Los Angeles and Japan editions as the highly-anticipated global K pop convention prepares for another expansive year.
KCON shared the announcement through its official social media channels. It gave fans an early window to plan travel around two of the event’s most anticipated stops.
KCON Japan 2026 will run from May 8-10, followed by KCON LA 2026 from August 14-16. Organizers have yet to reveal venues, lineups or ticket information, with additional updates expected in the months ahead.
The timing reflects a deliberate move by KCON. Organizers are aligning the festival with what is expected to be a busy year for Korean music industry. By announcing dates well in advance, KCON positions itself as a much-awaited event on the international K pop calendar; rather than a late addition to a crowded schedule.
KCON Japan 2025 drew an estimated 110,000 attendees, pushing total attendance in Japan past two million since the event debuted there in 2015. The Los Angeles edition in 2025, held at Crypto.com Arena and the LA Convention Center, featured more than 30 acts and continued KCON’s role as a major gateway between Korean artists and Western audiences.
Beyond the concerts, KCON presents itself as a wider cultural showcase. It brings together music, fashion, beauty, food, and fan-led programming. That structure has allowed the festival to evolve alongside K pop’s growing global reach.
With the dates now on the calendar, attention turns to lineup announcements and venue details as KCON begins its countdown to 2026.
