From revenge plots to the omegaverse, Chinese BLs went all out this year, pushing the boundary of the genre in more ways than one.Meanwhile, Heated Rivalry is a global sensation that’s taken the boy-love genre mainstream.
While Thai BLs continued to reign at the top of the BL genre touching upon everything from time-loops and horror to politics, Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese BLs also offered up their best with their relatable tales.

Reset

A story of second chances and deep devotion, Thai BL Reset The Series starring Pond Ponlawit and Peterpan Tadsapon was lauded for both performance and production. Following Khemjira(Namping) who struggles with a vengeful family curse alongside a shaman Pharan (Keng), the series unfolds as a tale of destiny, love and magic.
Revenged Love

One of China’s best BLs this year, Revenged Love draws us in with its complex tangle of emotions. Starring Zi Yu and Tian Xu Ning, the series transforms a revenge plot into one of genuine connection, led by the lead pair’s alluring chemistry.

The 12-episode drama follows the blossoming love between an an assasin Duan Zi Ang ( Zhang Zhe Xu) and a prince Xiao Shu He (Mi Jin), the drama follows a bittersweet romance backdropped by war and greed for power.
Ball Boy Tactics

Korean BL Ball Boy Tactics starring Choi Jae Hyeok and Yeom Min Hyeok is a juicy story laden with sexual tension and charismatic performances. Backdropped by sports and university life, the drama is one that remained consistently impressive throughout its eight episodes.

This Vietnamese BL unveils a poignant and relatable tale exploring insecurities, fears and the pursuit of passion. Starring Nguyen Thai Khang and Dac Thang, Fight for Love is a touching production led by grounded performances and crisp screenplay.
The series follows An Binh ( Nguyen Thai Khang) who masks himself while singing, unable to chase childhood dreams weighed down by insecurities. Crossing paths with the confident Minh Thang (Dac Thang) sparks a journey to overcoming what holds him back as tender love meets introspection.
