Last Anarchists Standing shares dystopian, thought-provoking album 'The Anarchists Ice Cream Club'

Last Anarchists Standing weaves a thought provoking yet humour-laden narrative on new album The Anarchists Ice Cream Club, a conceptual project that imagines a future where punk rock has been outlawed and classified as a mental illness.

With a dystopian vibe underpinned by a gritty DIY energy, the project is hypnotic, cinematic and immersive as it tells the intriguing story of Patient X and his escape from his room in an asylum and together with the other patients to raid the cafeteria’s ice cream and put on a concert.

The varied textures of the album is perfectly encapsulated by focus track “Serenity,” with its bold instrumentals, airy yet powerful vocals and anthemic vibe. The track blends a high-spirited rock edge with layered, hazy harmonies to create a raw sonic experience that brims with spontaneity.

Other tracks spanning the glitched out opener “Patient X” to bold melodic lilt of “All In My Head,” crafts a vivid world that’s set to be elevated by an upcoming companion movie.

Speaking of his process, Loki X says “I make music for me and the kids living in the middle of nowhere – to give them something that lets them know they aren’t alone, because that’s what music was for me.

Having shaped his alt-punk artistry with the quiet yet powerful intent to unite people, Loki X under his musical moniker of Last Anarchists Standing creates art that challenges status quo at every turn.
