SOMYO shares Debut EP ‘Leylines’ with focus track ‘Whispers’

Electronic artist SOMYO has unveiled his latest single, “Whispers,” a deep house collaboration with vocalist Hildur Ottilia that also serves as the first release from his debut EP, Leylines.

Built around warm basslines, atmospheric production and Ottilia’s airy vocal delivery, “Whispers” balances dancefloor energy with a reflective core. The track leans into themes of presence and self-discovery, pairing club-ready momentum with lyrics that encourage listeners to slow down and embrace the moment.

Produced with UK dance duo Icarus (Ian Griffiths and Tom Griffiths), the single showcases the polished electronic sound SOMYO has continued to refine since reinventing his artistic identity following his move from Los Angeles to Lisbon. It’s the kind of track that’s equally suited to a late-night festival crowd and a solitary headphone listen.

“At its core, Whispers is an invitation,” SOMYO explains. “Amid the chaos and noise of everyday life, the track pulls you inward. Lines like ‘keep your head, savor the moment’ and ‘I hear the whispers calling me’ anchor the song in something deeply human: the desire to surrender, be present, and lose yourself in the music.”

The release arrives as another milestone for the artist formerly known as Barrett Crake, who has accumulated more than 11 million streams globally and earned support from respected names across the electronic music world.

With Leylines, SOMYO delivers a confident statement of intent, blending introspection and dancefloor euphoria across his evolving sound.
