Hypnogaja evokes calm and chaos on 'My Dreams Have Teeth (Expanded Edition)'

Hypnogaja evoke their signature dark, cinematic rock on their new album My Dreams Have Teeth (Expanded Edition), a 19-track collection that reaches towards the familiarity and comfort of someone who sees you.

Whether on the foreboding build up of opening track “Open/Wide,” or the sharp and edgy stylings of “”Sympathy is a knife,” the album is shaped with a haunting, gritty sensibility that has us rooted in place. On the pop-tinged side of things, the project sweeps from the introspection of the retro synth-pop of “Lost Days,” into the bold dark-pop of “Wonderful Wonderful.”

Featuring British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott, “Wonderful Wonderful,” with its haunting pop-rock melody is a stand-out offering where calm and chaos meet with seamless harmony.

Shadowy and jagged even as hypnotic, dreamy allure pulls us under, each song on the album builds a booming world with quiet reflection nestling underneath.

Speaking of their artistry, the band says,“Hypnogaja has always felt like home to us, the one place we get to be exactly who we are. Songs are their own language. If someone hears this record and recognizes themselves in it, that’s the whole point.”

With an enticing rock signature that has seen their music reach far and wide, Hypnogaja continue to be a powerhouse act.
