GLAAD Media Awards : See full list of winners as Heated Rivalry wins ‘Outstanding New TV Series’

GLAAD Media Awards

The 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards ceremony took place on Thursday, March 5 in Los Angeles recognising various forms of media for their outstanding, inclusive portrayals of the LGBTQ+ community.

HBO Max/Crave‘s pop culture sensation Heated Rivalry took home the prize for the ‘Outstanding New TV Series’ prize, which Netflix’s Stranger Things and Apple TV‘s Palm Royale won the top prizes in the Drama and Comedy series categories respectively.

Meanwhile, Peacock’s The Traitors was named ‘Outstanding Reality Competition Program.’

On the film side, winners included Jennifer Lopez‘s Kiss of the Spider WomanA Nice Indian Boy and Plainclothes as well as Apple TV’s documentary Come See Me in the Good Light.

In music, Young Miko was named ‘Outstanding Music Artist’ while Katseye took home the award for ‘Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist.’

Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson received the 2026 Vanguard Award for her advocacy and commitment to uplifting and representing the LGBTQ+ community, with the special Stephen F. Kolzak Award going to podcasters Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers for their efforts in eliminating homophobia.

Winners were named across 32 categories spanning TV, film reality programming, children’s television, music, journalism and podcasting.

The 2026 ceremony was hosted by Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett and though there was no live telecast, Hulu will be streaming the ceremony starting Saturday, March 21
