Popular Chinese actress Zhao Lusi was awarded the “Sichuan Provincial Award” recognising her outstanding contribution towards women and children’s causes.
Whether it’s launching a youth mental health initiative, making visits to women and children’s centres or donating to the Chengdu Children’s Welfare Institute and providing scholarships, Lusi has consistently worked for the betterment of society around her.
Lusi who recently went viral for her zero-commission livestreams to support farmers and agriculture, also partnered with the Sichuan Youth Development Foundation on variety show Be Myself to use her public presence to push for genuine change.
An inspirational figure who stands tall much beyond her feats in the Chinese entertainment industry, Lusi’s mental health fund – planned to be a 5-10 long-term project – with the Sichuan Youth Development Foundation aims to hotline and offline charity catering to all age groups.
Drawing inspiration from her own story and struggles, she has chosen to inspire others to prioritize and care for their mental well-being through her incredible work.
The awards cited and praised her efforts to use her influence to create real impact as her proud father collected the award on her behalf.
