Pet lovers in Chennai – your weekend plans are sorted as Chennai’s biggest pet celebration Pawfest 2026 is set to bring pet parents and animal lovers together for two days of joy and learning.
Created by the Tamil Nadu Retail Petshop Owners Welfare Association, the event which is set to take place across January 24 and 25 allows animals to take the spotlight in every way.
From fun events that allow pet parents to showcase their pets’ personalities and talents such as dog and cat ramp walks, friendly races, dog obedience shows and cat musical chairs to more awareness-centric camps like free vaccinations, microchipping and grooming demos, the Wings Convention Centre – opposite Pachaiyappas College – in Kilpauk will come alive throughout two days with playful energy of furry friends and their loving human companions.
In addition to dog and cats, experiences at the event will include zones for reptiles, exotic birds and native breeds all guided and handled by experts with care and knowledge.
If you’re looking to adopt and bring home a new furry family member, there is also a pet adoption courtesy of Blue Cross.
Aquarium shows, food stalls, flea markets, portrait drawing and kids play areas will also be running all day to offer up a fun day for all age groups.
Much more than exhibition or carnival, Pawfest is set to be experience rooted in love for all animals. All programs will run across both days so visitors can drop in on either day – and the entry fee is just ₹199/-
So, come along and share in the love for animals, promote adoption or learn something new about being a pet parent.
