Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 gets official release date as actor makes grand announcement on his social media.
The third instalment of director Jeetu Joseph’s hit crime thriller franchise is all set to hit big screens on April 2, 2026.
After the massive success of Drishyam in 2013 and Drishyam 2 in 2022, Mohanlal will return as the iconic Georgekutty as film dives into a new chapter of the character’s life.
Actress Meena returns as Rani George while Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil reprise their roles as Georgekutty’s daughters, Anju and Anu.
The Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner took to his X on Wednesday, January 14, sharing an intriguing promotional video that ends on a poster of the cast along with the tagline “The past never stays silent.”
His caption read : “Years passed. The past didn’t. #Drishyam3 | Worldwide Release | 2 April 2026.“
The highly-anticipated film – produced by Aashirvad Cinemas – was launched in September 2025 with Jeethu Joseph revealing that the crux of the story will focus on “what happens in Georgekutty’s life after four-and-a-half years. ”
While the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 arrives shortly, the Hindi version starring Ajay Devgn is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
