Chinese actor – and member of global K-pop band SEVENTEEN – Wen Junhui is in the running for a ‘Best Supporting Actor’ nomination at the 44th Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in 2025 action-thriller film The Shadow’s Edge.
Starring Jackie Chan, the film saw Junhui receive praise for his antagonist role in the film with his name reportedly being submitted by the The Shadow’s Edge team for the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ nomination to HKFA.
The first round of voting – for the selection of official nominees – will be open till January 26. After the announcement of nominees, the second voting round which aims to select the winners will be held until March 30.
The selection of nominees and winners for the annual awards is made by an esteemed jury of film workers and film-related professionals selected by the HKFAA Selection Committee and members of the association.
The awards is set to be held in April. Final list of winners will be announced on the HKFAA Website before the ceremony in Hong Kong.
