Dolly Parton announces new rendition of “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” ft Miley Cyrus, Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, and Queen Latifah.

Dolly Parton will be joined by joined a range of talented female artists on a new rendition of her 1977 hit “Light of a Clear Blue Morning.”

Joining Parton on a fresh version of her song is Miley Cyrus alongside country icon and actress Reba McEntire, country superstar Lainey Wilson, and hip-hop icon and actress Queen Latifah.

The song which has already been re-recorded twice – once in 1992 for the soundtrack of her movie Straight Talk and then in 2003 for her album For God and Country – is made even more special with the featuring artists’ contributions this time around.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer announced the special collab – out on Friday, January 16 – on her social media, adding that all the proceeds from the song and its video will go to pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.

Dolly has already performed and recorded together multiple times with Miley – her close friend and goddaughter – including on a version of “Wrecking Ball,” which appeared on Dolly’s 2023 album, Rockstar.

With Dolly’s 80th birthday just around the corner – on January 19th – this new take on her classic also makes for heartwarming way to celebrate.
