As awards season officially gathered momentum, W Magazine and Louis Vuitton set an early tone in Los Angeles with an intimate dinner that brought together fashion, film, and television’s most visible names.
Hosted on January 8 in the Hollywood Hills by W editor in chief Sara Moonves and Louis Vuitton womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, the evening unfolded just days before the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, positioning itself less as a spectacle and more as a quietly influential meeting point for the season ahead.

The guest list reflected the moment. Golden Globe nominees and presenters mixed with longtime Louis Vuitton ambassadors, creating a cross section of contemporary Hollywood.
Emma Stone, Elle Fanning, Renate Reinsve, and Chase Infiniti, all featured on W’s latest Best Performances issue and closely aligned with the house, were among the central figures. They were joined by Ana de Armas, Jennifer Connelly, Regina King, Kate Hudson, Teyana Taylor, and the Haim sisters, each arriving in looks designed by Ghesquière that leaned toward restraint rather than excess.

The setting, a modern steel residence overlooking Beverly Hills, spotlighted the evening’s intention. This was not a red carpet preview or a branded spectacle but a private gathering that allowed nominees and collaborators to share space ahead of a competitive week.
Conversations were fluid between film sets and forthcoming ceremonies, with cast members from Bugonia, Sentimental Value, One Battle After Another, and Song Sung Blue crossing paths with television contenders from Severance, The Diplomat, Adolescence, and The Pitt.

Unlike several recent industry events that drew attention for their sparseness, the dinner placed emphasis on hospitality.
A three-course meal curated by Michael Cimarusti of Providence, a cornerstone of Los Angeles fine dining, anchored the night. Dishes included king crab with caviar and wagyu paired with seasonal greens, served beneath candlelight as rain-cleared skies opened to views of the city beyond the infinity pool.

Fashion, though ever-present, felt conversational rather than performative. Stone opted for an ivory turtleneck and wide-leg trousers, while Fanning and Reinsve leaned into clean silhouettes.
The Haim sisters coordinated in warm shades, and Lisa of Blackpink brought a layered nod to 1990s styling. Each look functioned as part of the atmosphere rather than its headline.

For W Magazine and Louis Vuitton, the dinner marked a continuation of a long-standing creative alignment that bridges editorial storytelling and design. For Hollywood, it served as a reminder that awards season still finds its rhythm in rooms where artists can speak freely, away from cameras, before stepping into the global spotlight.
