BAFTA has unveiled this year’s longlist for the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards spanning a diverse slate of cinema.
Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer One Battle After Another leads the list with 16 nods, particularly dominating the performance categories. The Paul Thomas Anderson comedy thriller has also earned mentions for Best Film, Director and Adapted Screenplay,
Closely behind with 14 longlist slots are Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. While Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme earns 13 nods, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein have each earned 12 mentions.
The announcement of the longlists marks the start of the decisive second round of voting, which opens today and will decide the final nominations.
BAFTA nominations for this year will be revealed on Tuesday, 27 January via a global livestream from BAFTA’s headquarters in London. This will be followed by third and final voting round to decide the winners.
The winners will be announced at the EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony -hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming – at Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, 22 February.
