Billie Eilish, James Cameron team for 3D tour film hitting theaters in 2026

Billie Eilish and James Cameron on set of their forthcoming 3D concert documentary.

Billie Eilish’s latest tour may have ended, but a new cinematic chapter is already on the calendar. Paramount confirmed that a 3D concert documentary co-directed by Billie Eilish and filmmaker James Cameron will premiere in theaters on March 20, 2026, giving fans a high-definition return to the singer’s Hit Me Hard and Soft world tour.

Eilish revealed the news late Sunday, only hours after closing the tour in San Francisco. The film — titled HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) — is produced with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films and Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment. Shot across multiple dates, including a heavily filmed four-show run in Manchester, England, the project marks the singer’s most ambitious concert release to date. It’s also her first time sharing credit with the renowned director.

The singer first hinted at the collaboration during the Manchester stop in July, telling the crowd that a “very special” 3D project was underway with Cameron present in the audience. At the time, she offered no timeline or title — only a nod to the unusually dense camera setup.

For Cameron, the documentary arrives amid preparations for Avatar: Fire and Ash, slated for release later this year. For Eilish, it builds on a filmography that includes The World’s a Little Blurry and Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, further expanding her on-screen footprint as she continues to evolve across music and film.
