Louis Tomlinson has unveiled the official tracklist for his third solo studio album, How Did I Get Here?, set for release on January 23, 2026. The 12-track record marks the next chapter in Tomlinson’s evolving sound, opening with the lead single “Lemonade” and closing on the introspective “Lucid.” A deluxe edition will include one additional song, “The Observer.”
The project was largely shaped in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, a creative shift that, according to Tomlinson, helped ground the album in reflection and growth. “I sum it up as the record I always deserved to make,” he said in a statement. “My bread and butter is the honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music.”
Louis Tomlinson, who rose to prominence as part of monumental boyband One Direction before carving his own space in alternative pop and indie rock, described the record as his most personal yet. “I’m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter,” he added. “For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped to be.”
How Did I Get Here? follows 2022’s Faith in the Future, which debuted in the UK Top 5 and cemented his foothold as a solo artist with an audience drawn to his understated sincerity and grounded storytelling. The upcoming record’s tracklist features songs like “On Fire,” “Sunflowers,” “Broken Bones,” and “Dark to Light,” suggesting a mix of introspection and resilience threaded through melodic indie production.
Louis Tomlinson will take the album on the road with his ‘How Did We Get Here?’ World Tour in 2026, spanning major venues across Europe and North America. Ahead of the release, he’s slated to perform at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in London on December 7, marking his first solo appearance at the annual event.
