Lewis Capaldi is back in full voice — and with a vengeance.
The Scottish singer-songwriter has released a new single, “Almost,” a soaring reflection on heartbreak and recovery. The single arrives ahead of his upcoming EP Survive (out November 14 via Capitol Records), along with a massive 2026 North American tour that’s already breaking records.
“Almost” marks the third release from the four-track project, following “Survive” and “Something in the Heavens.” The EP’s final unreleased track, “The Day That I Die,” promises to complete what Capaldi calls “a collection about surviving love, loss, and yourself.”

Built on delicate piano chords before erupting into a wall of emotion, “Almost” sees Capaldi at his most vulnerable — yet somehow more resilient than ever.
“I swear to God I’m almost alright, I only think about you all the time,” he sings, his trademark rasp splitting the line between ache and acceptance. The track, as described in a statement, is a “raw and intimate exploration of what it means to move on — or at least try to.”
It’s a fitting sentiment for Lewis Capaldi’s comeback. After a two-year hiatus to focus on his mental health and navigate life with Tourette’s syndrome, the 29-year-old made a surprise return to the Glastonbury this summer, with a stellar performance that reaffirmed his place among modern pop’s most powerful voices.
His single “Survive” went on to become his sixth UK Number One and the fastest-selling track of 2025, eclipsing both Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga.

Now, he’s ready to take that energy back on the road. Capaldi’s Survive Tour 2026 — his first North American run in over two years — kicks off April 15 in Philadelphia and hits major cities including Boston, Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Joy Crookes will serve as the opening act across all dates.
The announcement caused a frenzy online after tickets for the April 16 show at New York’s Madison Square Garden sold out in under a minute. Capaldi took to social media, writing: “Genuinely can’t believe I’m saying this but we just sold out Madison Square Garden in a minute this morning😭 thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart ❤️ x”
Other stops include back-to-back nights at Boston’s MGM Music Hall, two evenings at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and a headline slot at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Survive EP, meanwhile, finds Capaldi digging even deeper into the emotional terrain that made him a global phenomenon. From the defiant anthemics of “Survive” to the celestial longing of “Something in the Heavens” and the bruised optimism of “Almost,” it’s a snapshot of an artist learning to live with the weight of his own heart.
It’s also the sound of someone who’s truly come back to life. “Therapy is the reason why I’m able to be a musician again,” Capaldi shared earlier this year when he teamed up with BetterHelp to offer over 734,000 hours of free online therapy to fans.
Between the new music, a sold-out arena tour, and a renewed sense of purpose, Capaldi’s comeback isn’t just about surviving — it’s about reclaiming joy.
