Demi Moore has unveiled a striking new beauty transformation for Gucci’s latest cinematic project, The Tiger, trading in her signature sleek, center-parted layers for dramatic, face-framing bangs. The short film, directed by Halina Reijn with creative input from Spike Jonze, premiered on September 23 and marks the first major campaign under Gucci’s new creative director, Demna.
In the film, Moore, 62, stars as Barbara Gucci and appears first in a shimmering gold high-neck gown, her new fringe cut into fuller, chunky pieces that draw attention to her eyes before blending into her long curls. Later scenes showcase variations of the look — from cascading waves with chandelier jewels to a razor-sharp red power suit moment, where flat-ironed lengths reveal jaw-grazing layers at the sides of her face.
The style takes on an equally dramatic presence as Moore’s performance opposite Elliot Page, when she commands, “Braxton, what are you doing? You have to control yourself.”
Behind the scenes, Moore’s longtime hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos revealed the bangs were a collaborative decision with Demna. “When @demimoore called me to share the exciting news about her new film with @gucci and that she wanted me to create the hair for the character, I had the chills,” Giannetos wrote on Instagram, posting candid images of Moore on set.
“Demna had the idea of the bangs — ‘the GUCCI BANGS’ — and of course, he always has the right vision… after we created the ‘Gucci bangs,’ we all knew that was the right look for the film! Thanks Demi [Moore] for trusting me in such a big project! And thanks @demna and the rest of the team for all your support! I was so amazed to see Demi performing literally mind-blowing!”
The transformation, however, was temporary. Hours after the premiere, Moore attended Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week wearing the same gilded gown from The Tiger — but with her signature glossy, bang-free hair restored.
Still, the debut of “Gucci bangs” has already sparked conversation about Demna’s vision for the house, blending cinematic storytelling with bold beauty statements.
