Rising alt-pop artist Julia Wolf dives into the emotional weight of expectations on her new album Pressure, a raw and unfiltered collection of tracks rooted in her genre-blurring sound and confessional lyrics.
Drawing from a mix of emo, shoegaze, and metallic textures that underscores a dark-pop sound, the album embraces the juxtaposition of beauty and the grotesque in a startling yet eerie manner.
An expressive project that allows us to channel doubt, lack of confidence and the urge to compare ourselves, the album manages to weave through the pressure that the industry, society, and we ourselves place on our being to emerge with a freeing honesty that leaves us empowered.
Transforming vulnerability into power, and confronting the fear of rejection head-on, Pressure comes to life as one of Wolf’s most fearless works to date, leaning into a soundscape that’s heavier than usual yet tingles with notes of catharsis.
In addition to the release, Wolf kicks off her “Pressure World Tour” on May 29th, which will include a mix of headline dates – several of which are sold-out – and shows supporting Halsey and PVRIS. She is also confirmed for a slot at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago this September. All dates are listed below and you can find tickets HERE.
