Ten-year-old Los Angeles singer and actor Katherine O’Ryan is is making an early impression with an independent piano and vocal cover of “Die With a Smile,” performed alongside her sister Isabelle.
Stripping the song back to piano and harmonies, the performance highlights O’Ryan’s natural vocal control and musicality, offering a more intimate contrast to the large-scale productions she has become known for.
The release arrives after a breakout year that saw O’Ryan feature on Alan Walker’s “Broken Strings,” the lead single from his 2026 album Rise Of The Drones. Her bright, expressive vocals complemented Walker’s polished electronic production, introducing her to a global audience through one of EDM’s biggest names.
O’Ryan’s role in the project extended beyond the recording. She also narrates six tracks across Rise Of The Drones and plays a central character in Walker’s ongoing cinematic universe, appearing in the music videos for “Broken Strings,” “Springseeker,” “Monster,” and “Getaway.”
The collaboration has quickly expanded onto the live stage.
O’Ryan performed during Walker’s Faded anniversary livestream for more than 90,000 viewers, later appeared at a club performance in Warsaw, featured at the Enhanced Games in Las Vegas, and narrated the opening of Walker’s sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre show.
Now working on an EP of original songs and additional covers, O’Ryan’s latest release offers an early glimpse of the musical identity she is beginning to shape beyond her high-profile collaborations.
