'Draw Your Mind' Workshop : All you need to know about neurographic art

Mindfulness meets art in Lyrical Muse’s new workshop Draw Your Mind in collaboration with Shreya Suraj, founder of international art group ANYBODY CAN DRAW.

The interactive online workshop set to take place on Sunday, July 12 will explore neurographic art, a technique which involves transforming our thoughts and emotions into flowing lines and organic shapes.

Rooted in mindfulness, the art form is a great way to destress and express your emotions but also allows you to explore your creativity in a simple yet engaging way.

Here’s everything you need to know about neurographic art ahead of Lyrical Muse’s workshop.

What is neurographic art?

Neurographic Art is a mindful drawing process that transforms thoughts and emotions into flowing lines and organic shapes.

The drawing method is simple and involves drawing free-flowing lines and then soften the sharp corners by rounding them. You then continue adding lines, circles, and colours until the drawing feels balanced.

Shreya explains, “There are no mistakes, no pressure to create something perfect—just a gentle process of allowing your mind, hand and imagination to work together.”

Who can practice neurographic art?

No prior experience is required to try your hand at neurographic art. The method is not about creating flawless work, it is about unique experiences and personalities.

Shreya says, ” Every line becomes part of the final artwork, making it a fun and mindful creative activity for people of all ages. So every person’s art will be unique and that makes it very interesting.”

Offering a perfect blend of creativity and emotional wellbeing, neurographic art makes use of just a few simple lines to create a calming, reflective experience that helps people slow down and reconnect with themselves.
