Lyrical Muse

The 17th Nataraja Awards has announced its nominations honouring work across Thai television spanning both short and long-form content.

Considered one of the most prestigious in the Thai television industry and often referred to as the “Thai Emmys,” the nominations announced on March 18, 2026 celebrates the best work released throughout 2025.

Notable nominations include Netflix’s Mad Unicorn for Best Drama with a Best Screenplay nomination and director Kai Nottapon Boonprakob earning a Best Director nomination. Lead actor Ice Natara Nopparatayapon has also earned for Best Lead Actor nomination with actress Janeyeh Jiranorraphat also making the Best Lead Actress nominees list.

Mad Unicorn has also dominated the supporting actors category with Dr. Palang Loksilp,Ek Thaneth Warakulnukroh earning nominations. In the supporting actress categories, other notable names include Vill Wannarot Sonthichai for Hypnotic and Donut Manatsanun Panlertwongskul for the The Believers 2.

Nomination of actress Toey Jarinporn Joonkiat in the Best Leading Actress category for Enigma Black Stage,Foei Patara Eksangkul‘s Best Actor nomination for Sweet Dreams and Emi Thasorn Klinnium‘s Best Supporting Nomination for Mouse have gained high praise and congratulations from fanbases.

Supernatural series Decalcomania has also earned several nominations across Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Lead Actor and Actress as well as Best Cinematography.

Several BL/queer series also earned nominations in big categories with this year’s awards season favourite Khemjira dominating with eight nominations across Best Drama, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Costume, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects.

Gelboys follows with six nominations including Best Drama, Best Director, Best OST, Best Costume, Best Editing, and Best Art Direction, with Goddess Bless You from Death also earning five across Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Drama, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Both Clairebell and Shine has three nominations each, with both series being nominated for Best OST. While Clairebell has also earned nominations in the Best Supporting Actress and Best Editing, Shine has notched up nominations under Best Cinematography, and Best Art Direction. Finally, The Next Prince earned two nominations for Best Costume and Best Supporting Actor.

With nominations spread across storytelling, acting, soundtracks and various technical aspects, fans of Thai entertainment have been celebrating the nomination of their favourite series and acting performances, expressing pride and excitement for the prestigious honour.

The official awards ceremony for the 17th Nataraja Awards is scheduled to take place on May 17, 2026
