Independent artist Nick Ryan returns with ArchNemesis, a striking new remix LP that revisits his earlier material through darker tones and an unapologetic edge. Created in collaboration with producer Robert Eibach, the project reshapes Ryan’s album Nemesis into a house-driven electronic record charged with intensity, emotional candor, and moments of cathartic release.
At the center of the project sits the focus track “Good People Are Hard to Find.” Powered by punchy EDM rhythms and sleek alt-pop hooks, the song unfolds like a cathartic release. Ryan delivers the stark refrain — “Good people are hard to find / I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, ”with an urgency that resonates in a moment shaped by fractured connections and emotional fatigue.
The verses push that emotional honesty further. With biting wit and unfiltered frustration, Ryan sings lines that feel less like lyrics and more like a direct confrontation. Ghosting, manipulation, and fake sympathy all get called out in a blunt lyrical exchange that leaves little room for sentimentality.

Across ArchNemesis, Ryan thrives on contrast. The opening track, “Welcome to the Nightmare,” storms in with towering synths and pounding percussion, setting a tone that feels both turbulent yet meticulously controlled.
Elsewhere, songs like “Narcissist” and “Don’t Hold Your Breath” carry a Y2K-tinted alt-pop sheen, while “Politics and Mind Games” slows the tempo and reveals a more vulnerable core, examining the emotitonal cost of living inside other people’s agendas.
Ryan’s sonic pivot into electronic territory draws inspiration from remix culture, particularly Rated R Remixed by Rihanna, but the result remains unmistakably his own. Since emerging in 2009, Ryan has built a catalog grounded in emotional clarity and confessional songwriting, echoing influences like Alanis Morissette while carving out his own alternative-pop lane.
With ArchNemesis, Ryan sharpens both his sound and perspective. The record delivers a clear message: truth may arrive messy and uncomfortable, but it deserves to be heard at full volume.
