Weibo Night 2025, celebrating the best of Chinese entertainment was a night to remember with several fan-favourite celebrities being awarded for their work in the last year.
A much-anticipated event that has been slowly building towards a glamorous, the event took place on Thursday, February 5.
From big wins to stunning red carpet appearances, cute celebrity interactions and enthralling performances, the event lit up social media as fans around the world tuned in to watch the livestream.
Major highlights included ZEROBASEONE‘s Zhang Hao winning ‘Popular Singer/Hottest Singer of the Year’ on first-ever Weibo Night appearance – despite not having Weibo or an active work presence in China, showcasing how his influence as an idol has extended beyond boundaries.
Also among the big wins were Bai Lu and Liu Yuning winning ‘Most Popular Actress’ and ‘Most Popular Actor ‘ awards.
In the rising star category, both Chen Zheyuan and Song Zuer earned love and praise on social media as they won “Weibo Breakthrough Actor/ Leaping Actor of the Year,” alongside Li YiTong, Song WeiLong and Zhang RuoNan. Others honoured with the breakthrough actor award included Chen Haoyu, Cheng Xiao, Zhu Xudan, Zhang Yifan and Zhang Yuxi.
Meanwhile, Chen Duling, Ding Yuxi, Guan Xiaotong, Meng Ziyi and Zhang Linghe all earned the award for ‘Weibo Annual Popularity Actor,’ with the ‘Weibo Annual Performance Actor award’ going to Peng Yuchang, Wang Anyu, Wen Qi, Zhou Ye.
Lu Yuxiao received the award for “Most Watched Actor of the Year” while Ao Ruipeng, Zeng Shunxi, Crystal Zhang Tianai and Zhou Yutong all won the ‘Annual Charming Actor’ award.
Deng Wei, Li Landi and Lu Yuxiao were named in the ‘Annual Notable Actor’ category with Wang Yinglu winning ‘Weibo Most Anticipated Actor Of The Year,’ and Wang Anyu notching up the Annual Influential Film Actor’ award
Actors such as Chen Yanxi, Jing Tian, Nazha and Song Yi were named ‘Weibo Annual Shining Actors.’
The biggest moments of the night came later as Wang Yibo, Jackson Wang, Mark Tuan and Xiao Zhan all took over social media with their big awards and red carpet entrances.
Xiao Zhan – who stunned on the red carpet in his two looks including a luxurious Gucci fit as well as Saint Laurent’s2026 Spring/Summer new series collection – won ‘Weibo Movie Role Model of the Year’ and took home the win for ‘Weibo King’ for the third time.
His presence at the awards took over social media with ‘TOP STAR XIAO ZHAN NIGHT’ as well as #XiaoZhanWBN2025 and #WBN6thWithXiaoZhan trending. Opposite Xiao Zhan, Yang Mi was named ‘Weibo Queen’ in addition to taking home the award for ‘Weibo Honorable Actor Of The Year.’
Jackson Wang who made a grand entrance at the Weibo Night Red Carpet went on to perform ‘Made Me A Man’, before topping off the night by receiving the ‘International Singer of the Year Award.’ His GOT7 bandmate Mark Tuan also won big as ‘Weibo Performance Artist of the Year.’
Making waves on social media with his Tom Ford and Loro Piana outfits, Wang Yibo was undoubtedly one of the most talked celebrities of the night on social media. Yibo whose personal IP documentary Exploring the Unknown Season 2 won ‘Documentary of the Year’ became the first first celebrity to trend #1 in both main and entertainment hotsearch at the #WeiboNight2025, with tags like ‘Prince Yibo’ and #WangYiboxWB2025Night buzzing on social media.
Besides the awards, the fashion and styling were other high points at the Weibo Night. From Cheng Xiao wearing Aadnevik spring/summer 2025 and Ouyang Nana stunning in Cong Tri spring/summer 2026 collection to Yang Zi donning Tony Ward Fall/Winter couture collection and Xin Zhilei‘s CHANEL spring/summer 2026 fit, every star turned up the glitz and glamour to the max.
While the awe of the star-studded and the celebration of talent is always exciting, fans were also taken by cute moments that they spotted. From candid moments between celebs to indulgent fan service, moments such as Lu Yuxiao and Ouyang Nana cute interaction, the beloved friendship Meng Yi Zi and Zhou Ye as well as backstage fun as well Wang Yinglu, Mu Zicheng and Zhu Xudan taking on a dance challenge had fans squealing with joy.
A night that honoured the talent, dedication and star power of Chinese celebrities across film, music, social media and more, Weibo Night 2025 wrapped up with much aplomb.
