YUniverse BL Awards 2025: Khemjira sweeps, JimmySea and GL pairings spark buzz

The YUniverse BL Awards 2025 unfolded today, blending industry recognition with fan-driven momentum as the ceremony celebrated standout Thai BL and GL productions from the past year. The awards considered over 80 series across 16 categories, reflecting both creative achievement and audience impact.

Domundi TV’s horror-romance Khemjira emerged as the night’s biggest winner, sweeping multiple major awards, including Namping Napatsakorn earned ‘Best Actor’ award for his lead performance. His co-star Keng Harit won ‘Best Character,’ and the series also took home ‘Best Y Series’, with the duo jointly winning ‘Best Partner’ for their sizzling yet emotive on-screen chemistry.

Further strengthening its dominance, Khemjira actress Green Ausadaporn received ‘Best Supporting Actor’, while the series also performed strongly in technical categories, including winning ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Special Effects’.

While Khemjira led in overall wins, online buzz peaked around JimmySea’ victory for ‘Best BL Series’ with My Magic Prophecy, which became one of the most discussed moments on social media.

GMMTV marked a strong showing across genres, securing top honors in both BL and GL categories and receiving the ‘Outstanding Creative Media Producer’ special award. JuniorMark won ‘Best Actor Team’ for Perfect 10 Liners, while GL pairing NamtanFilm claimed the ‘Best Couple’ award for Pluto.

GL representation soared high with pairing FayMay winning ‘Best GL Series’ for Somewhere Somehow, while Cranium, starring FreenBecky pair, earned ‘Best Coming Soon’.

Domundi TV continued its successful night with NuNew’s ‘Best Actor’ win for The Next Prince, which also secured awards for ‘Best Production,’ ‘Popular Novel,’ and ‘Best Costume Award’, indicating technical prowess in addition to solid performances.

Another series to earn praise for its technical side was GELBOYS winning both ‘Best Series Director’ and ‘Best Soundtrack’.

Elsewhere, Pit Babe star Pavel Naret received the ‘Iconic Star Award’, while upcoming actor FirstOne Wannakorn stood out individually, winning three awards across supporting, rising star, and fan-favorite categories.

The ceremony also spotlighted socially reflective storytelling and technical excellence, with Be On Cloud’s Shine The Series winning Television Media Reflecting Society’ award along with direction and costume design, underscoring the industry’s growing balance between popularity, craft and cultural relevance.

A night of celebration and acclaim, highlighting the incredible quality and the fandom support for the huge range of Y series produced in Thailand every year, The YUniverse Awards was a night to remember.
