BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month is set to return this autumn with one of its most ambitious line-ups yet, featuring 15 performances across October and early November. The annual showcase of stripped-back sessions and unexpected covers will see a mix of global superstars and rising names take over the iconic studio space, beginning Monday, September 29.
Among the headline appearances is Louis Tomlinson, who will make his long-awaited debut as a solo artist in the Live Lounge on October 29. The former One Direction member has previously performed as part of the group but never alone, making this appearance a milestone moment in his career.
Demi Lovato also returns to the Live Lounge for the first time since 2017, with a performance slated for October 22, while Lewis Capaldi will not only deliver his set on October 20 but also perform an extended Live Lounge Late that evening on Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
Other confirmed names include Florence + The Machine, Robbie Williams—who will present a special Radio 1 Anthems Live Lounge on October 10—Mumford & Sons, Reneé Rapp, Conan Gray, PinkPantheress, Olivia Dean, Wet Leg, and Machine Gun Kelly (mgk). Newcomers such as Myles Smith, The Last Dinner Party, and Skye Newman will also join the roster, adding fresh talent alongside established acts.
The schedule will follow its traditional pattern, with sessions airing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on Rickie, Melvin and Charlie’s Radio 1 Show at 12 p.m. Each artist will deliver intimate versions of their biggest hits alongside exclusive covers—a hallmark of the Live Lounge known for creating viral and often unexpected musical moments.
“Live Lounge Month is back and we couldn’t be more excited!” said presenters Rickie, Melvin and Charlie in a joint statement. “It’s always such a special time on Radio 1 – artists stripping things back, surprising us with covers you’d never expect, and creating those unforgettable moments that only the Live Lounge can bring. Every year it somehow gets bigger and better and this year is no different. We can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s in store!”

With a blend of chart-topping names and breakthrough artists, this year’s programming cements Live Lounge Month as a central fixture in the UK music calendar. Fans can expect moments that will dominate conversation well beyond the Radio 1 airwaves.
