Zara Larsson is officially stepping into her own spotlight.
After a breakthrough year lighting up arenas as Tate McRae’s opener and later joining OneRepublic on the road, the 27-year-old Swedish pop star has announced her biggest headlining run yet: the 2026 Midnight Sun Tour, launching February 28 in Portland, Oregon.
The tour, revealed Tuesday exclusively via Rolling Stone, will mark Larsson’s most extensive U.S. trek to date. Cities on the routing include Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, New York City, Boston, Austin, and Houston, with rising alt-pop singer Amelia Moore set to open every show.
Zara Larsson is timing the show announcement with the upcoming release of her new album Midnight Sun, due September 26. The project has already introduced listeners to singles “Midnight Sun,” “Pretty Ugly,” and “Crush,” signaling an expansive, vividly personal era that draws directly from her Swedish roots.
“I’ve probably written five songs called Midnight Sun,” Larsson admitted in a recent interview. “I’m like, ‘I like that title. I really want it. Because it just reminds me of home. And also I think the more I travel and the older I get, I wanna be reminded of home and my roots and a Swedish summer night.’”
In her conversation with Rolling Stone about the tour, Larsson didn’t hold back her excitement: “Performing is my number one passion in life and I have never had this many stops on a tour of mine before, so the fact that I get to continue the Midnight Sun journey and bring this amazing show to so many cities around America is truly a dream come true. With band, dancers, production, outfits and all the energy, this will be something special!”

The high-energy pop star also celebrated with fans directly on social media, writing: “Having too much fun, so I’m coming back!! 💖 US headlining tour next year… See you soooon 😘✨” Her post quickly went viral — a familiar occurrence for Larsson, who’s carved out a strong presence in the digital space as much as on stage, with her charismatic live clips circulating widely on TikTok and X over the past year.
While the American tour won’t begin until February 2026, Larsson’s schedule between now and then leaves little downtime. She’ll wrap her European leg of the Midnight Sun tour in late November before heading to Australia in early 2026 to join OneRepublic as an opener — an itinerary that solidifies her as one of the most in-demand performers on the global pop circuit.
With her first major U.S. headlining tour on the horizon, Midnight Sun looks poised to be more than just the title of her upcoming record — it’s the defining banner of the next phase of Larsson’s career, one intent on shining brighter and further than ever before.
