Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have adopted a daughter, the actor revealed in a surprise announcement on Instagram.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the 21-year-old Stranger Things star wrote. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” The post, shared Thursday morning, included an image of a willow tree, but the couple did not disclose the child’s name or face.

The news marks a new milestone for Brown and Bongiovi, who married 15 months ago in a private ceremony. The pair began dating in 2021, got engaged two years later, and tied the knot in May 2024. Bongiovi, 23, is the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi.

Millie Bobby Brown has often spoken openly about their whirlwind relationship, noting that both her and Bongiovi’s parents also wed young. “We had really great role models. We didn’t see any different,” she said during a 2023 interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

Now living on a farm surrounded by animals, Brown’s connection to adoption and rescue runs deep. She works closely with Joey’s Friends, a dog rescue organization, and has said she’s helped save more than 230 dogs.
