Desire The Series, upcoming Chinese BL series, has left social media buzzing as the first-of-its-kind Chinese show ; exploring omegaverse – a popular subgenre of speculative fiction – in detail.
Adapted from the novel Desire by Nong Jian, the series follows dominant businessman Sheng Shao You and his meeting as well as subsequent attraction to Hua Yong, who is hiding a huge secret of his own. A parallel love story between another businessman and his childhood friend-turned-secretary also keeps you hooked!
While hit Thai series Pit Babe also discussed omegaverse themes, Desire The Series – also referred to as ABO Desire – is set to be the first live-action series that explores several tropes of the polarising omegaverse sub-genre.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting to watch the series since it was first teased two years ago. The wait is now over, with Desire set to air online to international audiences on Saturday, July 12.
