The Focker family is gearing up for another round of awkward laughs and familial chaos, with Owen Wilson officially rejoining Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in Meet the Parents 4. The long-anticipated comedy sequel, exclusively reported by The Hollywood Reporter, is currently in the works at Universal Pictures, with a release date set for November 25, 2026.
Returning alongside Wilson are franchise veterans Teri Polo, reprising her role as Pam Byrnes-Focker, and John Hamburg, who penned the scripts for all three previous films and will now return as both screenwriter and director. The newest—and perhaps most unexpected—addition to the cast is pop sensation and Oscar-nominated performer Ariana Grande, who will play the fiancée of Greg and Pam’s son.
Wilson, who stole scenes in the original 2000 film as Kevin Rawley, the impossibly perfect ex-boyfriend with a knack for carpentry and charm, will once again don his role, much to fans’ delight. His character appeared in both sequels, Meet the Fockers (2004) and Little Fockers (2010), and his return promises more comedic tension and golden one-liners.
While plot details remain tightly under wraps, sources reveal the central conflict involves the Fockers’ grown-up son becoming engaged to Grande’s character, whose domineering presence causes immediate friction within the family.
The film will be co-produced internationally by Paramount Pictures, with a powerhouse producing team including Jane Rosenthal and De Niro via Tribeca Productions, Jay Roach through Delirious Media, and Stiller under his Red Hour Films banner.
After a brief hiatus from the big screen since 2023’s Haunted Mansion, Wilson’s return, paired with Ariana Grande’s feature debut in this beloved comedy franchise, signals a fresh yet nostalgic reboot for the fan-favorite saga.
