Pop-R&B singer-songwriter and producer Adessa takes us through the emotional rollercoaster of a breakup on new EP bipolar, a five-track project led by emotional lyricism and smooth vocals.
Built on atmospheric soundscapes and reflective songwriting, each track traced the highs and lows of heartbreak moving from fun, catchy arrangements like “so, about last night,” to poignant explorations of deceit on “apate.”
Title track “bipolar,” with its deeply layered showcase of grappling with the regrets of falling in love with the wrong person even as we continue to love them, is the perfect encapsulation of the EP’s resonant emotional core.
Speaking of the EP, Adessa says, “There’s no particular message within this EP that listeners need to take away, what matters most is what you feel while listening. Especially if you can relate to it in any way.”
Cushioned by catharsis and relatability, the luscious project establishes Adessa artistic evolution as he steps into a new era of music under his new name.
