Brazilian-born independent artist Uriel is marking a year since the release of “OUTTA HERE” with an anniversary edition that pairs a streamlined single edit with a live Green Room Rehearsal version of the track.
Originally released on August 29, 2025, the jazz and pop-influenced song centres on the uncertainty of pursuing a life that still feels out of reach. Uriel wrote it during a period of professional and personal doubt, drawing on the frustration of working towards something without knowing whether the effort will pay off.
Produced by Yan Perchuk, the anniversary release presents two different takes on that material. The Single Edit offers a more concise version of the song, while the Green Room Rehearsal recording brings its live performance into focus. Both the versions revisit a track whose central question has taken on a different meaning over the past year.
The original five-minute recording was also submitted for consideration in the Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals category at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. Its arrangement combines layered vocal harmonies, live instrumentation and shifting rhythms, moving between moments of hesitation and greater conviction.
For Uriel, revisiting the song is also an opportunity to recognise the distance between wanting a different life and actively working towards one. “I hope people take away the feeling that they should keep going after the things they really want, even when it feels like nothing is working out,” he says.
The track is set to feature on INFATUATED, an upcoming EP that forms part of a two-EP project currently in development. Uriel writes, produces and develops his music independently, drawing on jazz, pop and rock while keeping personal songwriting at the centre of his work.
The anniversary edition arrives with the original song’s message intact, but its two new versions shift the emphasis towards the process itself: the attempts, setbacks and gradual progress that come with pursuing an ambition before knowing where it will lead.
