Whether you know them from their appearances on MTV and Fuse, their infamous feuds within the music scene, or their iconic rendition of “12 Days of Christmas”, Taking Back Sunday have lived on millennials’ playlists for nearly 30 years.
Now, for the first time, TBS brought their live show to the gorgeous Brooklyn Paramount, drawing fans from across generations.
Opening the night was Saves The Day who broke out classics like “Shoulder To The Wheel” and “At Your Funeral,” to transport the crowd straight back to the early 2000s. The band proved their place as way more than a nostalgia act, with their newest single, “Invader” rounding off a set that was packed with energy, big vocals and the kind of familiar hooks that set the tone for what was to come.

Thrice picked up the pace from there, filling their 45-minute set with several tracks from their 2003 release, The Artist in the Ambulance. They also made room for “Gnash” and “Holding On” from their latest studio album, Horizons/West. The energy was high and the night was only getting started.

Before long, the theme from The Lion King blared through the venue as Taking Back Sunday emerged under the bright lights. Without hesitation, TBS launched into the classics, sending the sold-out crowd into a frenzy.
With 2026 marking the 20th anniversary of Louder Now, the album naturally took centre stage. More than half of the setlist drew from the record, including the B-side “Brooklyn (If You See Something Say Something)” and “Miami,” a personal favourite of frontman Adam Lazzara.

The sold-out Brooklyn Paramount was packed with fans singing along, proving just how much these songs have endured, making a strong case for the band’s staying power.
With the Louder Now era at its centre, the Brooklyn stop felt like a trip back to 2006, with a bright light shining on what the future holds.
