Annie Omalley taps into her signature conversational style on "frends wife" from new album 'rekovering overthinker'

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Annie Omalley continues to evolve her genre-hopping musicality with her latest project, her third full-length album, rekovering overthinker.

Led by a organic, live-instrument country-folk sensibilities swerving from her fierce pop styling, the production is a showcase of her ability to capture a emotive, stream-of-consciousness storytelling style framed by raw lyricism and layered soundscapes.

On rekovering overthinker, OMalley delivers a love letter to curiosity built on layers of guitar, piano, strings, cello, mandolin, lap steel and live sounds. The unfiltered project spanning 14 tracks is as confessional as it relatable, as she explores new forms of love as well as the highs and lows of emotions with complete authenticity.

I hope it gives them permission to sit inside the discomfort instead of rushing to fix it, to wander through their grief, confusion, hope, longing, anger, curiosity, and tenderness without shame. I hope these songs feel like a quiet corner of the world they can return to when their thoughts get too loud, somewhere they can unravel honestly and slowly stitch themselves back together again.”
