Giselle confronts abuse and silence on haunting new single 'YOUNG'

Los Angeles-based pop artist Giselle is stepping into difficult but necessary territory with her latest single, “YOUNG,” a deeply personal release that confronts grooming, abuse and the culture of silence surrounding survivors.

Known for blending emotional honesty with polished pop production, the singer-songwriter delivers one of her most vulnerable tracks to date while refusing to soften its message.

The new single cuts through with haunting lyricism and restrained production that lets the weight of the story breathe. Rather than dramatizing pain, Giselle approaches the subject with unsettling honesty, turning the track into both a personal reckoning and a wider social commentary.

Lyrically, Giselle challenges the systems that protect abusers and shift blame onto victims, tackling conversations many artists still hesitate to approach publicly. The accompanying music video also opens with resources for viewers who may need help, reinforcing the song’s purpose beyond streaming numbers.

“I hope this song can start a conversation,” Giselle shared in a press statement, adding that she wants fellow survivors to feel “less alone” and stop blaming themselves.

Originally from Boston and raised in Buffalo, Giselle has spent years building her career through live performances across New York before relocating to Los Angeles at 21. She is set to perform in Pasadena at Old Towne Pub on May 15 and in Long Beach at Harvelle’s on May 31.

At a time when much of mainstream pop leans toward polished escapism, Giselle delivers something far more unsettling and necessary: a song that refuses to look away.
