Sweet Unrest dial up the grit on fiery new single “All The Same (La Di Da)”

London grit-pop five-piece Sweet Unrest return with explosive intent on their latest single, “All The Same ,” released today, delivering a punchy, distortion-laced anthem that sharpens their rising alternative rock identity.

Arriving just ahead of the band’s upcoming U.S. run, including stops in Los Angeles, SXSW in Texas, and The New Colossus Festival in New York, the track signals a confident new phase for the fast-emerging group.

Produced by Luke Burgoyne, the single leans heavily into the band’s live-wire energy. Jagged guitars, driving drums, and gritty basslines collide with Jack River’s instantly recognizable raspy vocal, creating a sound that sits somewhere between ’90s alt-rock abrasion and modern indie urgency. Where previous release “Sometimes” leaned tender, “All The Same (La Di Da)” pushes forward with bite and attitude.

The chorus hits with the kind of reckless, chant-along energy that feels built for crowded venues and late-night festival sets, while the distortion never overwhelms the emotional core of the track. It’s the rare alt-rock single that feels equally confrontational and addictive on first listen.

River describes the track as a scathing anti-romance diss built around frustration and self-awareness. It’s a sharp, humorous response to manipulative relationships that ultimately turns inward, acknowledging that “we’re really all as bad as each other.” The track lands as both confrontational and disarmingly honest: an anthem about holding your ground while recognizing your own flaws.

Since debuting in 2023, Sweet Unrest have steadily built momentum with live music appearances, and “All The Same ” feels like a turning point rather than just another release. With growing international shows and tastemaker attention, Sweet Unrest now look less like a band on the rise and more like one stepping confidently into the global alternative spotlight.
