On February 22, the actors confirmed their wedding in a joint Instagram note, ending nearly eight years of speculation with a gesture that felt intimate, deliberate, and unmistakably them.
They’ve titled their celebration “The Wedding of VIROSH” — embracing the fan-coined portmanteau that followed them long before they acknowledged their romance.
“Before we made any plans… you were already there,” they wrote. “With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. The wedding ceremony will take place on February 26, in Udaipur at The Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur — an opulent heritage palace overlooking the City of Lakes. The couple plans an ultra-private, no-phone affair with around 100 close friends and family members. They will honour both their roots with traditional Telugu and Kodava ceremonies. A larger industry reception will follow on March 4 at Taj Krishna.
Pre-wedding festivities have already painted a vivid picture. Rashmika teased a regal Japanese dinner setting lit in warm golds, complete with embroidered “VIROSH” napkins. Vijay, meanwhile, shared sun-drenched moments of pool volleyball and laughter with friends. The mood feels celebratory yet grounded — luxury without excess, joy without spectacle.
A viral invite described it as a “small and intimate ceremony,” adding, “With the love and blessings of our families, Rashmika and I will be getting married on 26.02.26.” Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly sent his wishes, calling it a “new beautiful chapter.”
