Sunday is a day for laid-back indulgences andThe Great Madras Bake Sale taking place in Chennai this weekend, makes for the perfect opportunity to let go and enjoy a day of delicious treats, cuddly furbabies and live music.
An yearly community-led event hosted by entrepreneurs Maaria Tanveer, Cindana Manickavel and Priya Anup, the Great Madras Bake Sale brings home bakers, small businesses, pet lovers and musicians together for one joyous day.
The 2026 edition – which is the fourth edition of the event – will have stalls from 34 home bakers where visitors can expect to have a taste of both sweet and savoury baked goods from small businesses like Kookies, Kakes and Bakes, Food Indulge, The Kraaft Girl , Fave Dainty and more.
In addition to being a space where home bakers have a chance to put their products out, the event is also pet-friendly continuing to put up a free adoption drive every year in partnership with iAdopt. Further, if you’re visiting with your pets, they can also enjoy their own treats from a selection of pet-friendly cakes and cookies from Soul Blends stall.
The ambience of the sunny afternoon event is further elevated by live music performances courtesy of local musicians alongside a tarot card reader returning on popular demand.
Set to be an all-round enjoyable experience for food, music and pet lovers alike, the Great Bake Sale is a one-day only event, kicking off from 2pm on Sunday, February 1 at Chettinad Sath Sadhana in Adyar.
