Spotify Wrapped 2025: Bad Bunny leads global charts

Spotify Wrapped 2025 rolled out worldwide on Wednesday at 13:00 GMT, delivering its annual snapshot of how the world listened, and unveiling one of the platform’s biggest overhauls yet.

The headline figure: Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has reclaimed his position as the world’s most-streamed artist, drawing more than 19.8 billion streams this year. His acclaimed album Debí Tirar Más Fotos also topped global album charts, further cementing the momentum leading into his anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance next year.

But while Bad Bunny dominated globally, adding 2025 to a streak that includes 2020, 2021, and 2022, the UK painted a different picture. There, Taylor Swift ended the year as the country’s most-streamed artist, with Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” emerging as the UK’s top song.

On the global singles front, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars captured the world’s attention with “Die With A Smile,” the year’s most-streamed song across platforms.

Spotify Wrapped 2025 arrives after last year’s lukewarm response, and Spotify has clearly listened. This edition introduces a suite of new features aimed at making the experience more interactive, introspective, and competitive. The most talked-about among them: Listening Age, which assesses the “age” of your listening habits by the release years you gravitate toward—whether you lean jazz-club vintage or hyper-modern electronica.

Users can now also see their Top Albums for the first time, a long-requested addition that reflects the resurgence of album-oriented listening. The new Fan Leaderboard ranks listeners based on minutes spent with their favorite artists, a feature certain to spark friendly rivalry across fandoms.

Social features expand with Wrapped Party, a shareable space where users compare listening stats in real time. Each session generates unique awards, nudging Spotify Wrapped deeper into communal territory.

Meanwhile, Listening Archive offers a closer look at milestone moments throughout the year—days when users discovered the most new music, or binged the longest sessions. The introduction of Clubs, which assigns listeners to themed groups like Cloud State or Full Charge based on their habits, adds an additional layer of identity-building.

With global rankings shifting, new features landing, and fans sharing their personalized cards online, Wrapped 2025 is shaping up to be one of Spotify’s most ambitious recaps to date.
