Virtual K-pop group PLAVE hits new career milestone with ‘PLBBUU’

Revolutionary virtual idol group PLAVE have achieved a career milestone within weeks of releasing their second single album, PLBBUU.

According to South Korea’s Hanteo Chart data on November 16th, more than 1.09 million copies of PLBBUU were sold during the first week of sales since its release on November 10th.

With this achievement, the innovative K-pop group have now set a new personal record.

The quintet consisting of YEJUN, NOAH, BAMBY, EUNHO, and HAMIN, have kept up a momentum of success with each release – becoming the the first boy group and the first virtual idol group to exceed one million first-week sales with their third mini album, Caligo Pt. 1 in February 2025 – as they continue to break their own records in first-week album sales

In less than three years since their debut, PLAVE have set themselves up as an act led by infinite possibilities and potential. From topping charts in Japan to being the first virtual idol group in history to entering Billboard’s Global 200 chart and Billboard‘s Global Excluding US chart and selling out two of South Korea’s top five stadiums (KSPO DOME and Gocheok Sky Dome) for their first Asia tour, 2025 PLAVE Asia Tour [DASH: Quantum Leap], the group has only gone from strength to strength.
