Meghan Trainor is stepping into a new pop era with sharpened confidence and a not-so-subtle message for her critics. On Wednesday (Nov. 12), the Grammy winner announced her seventh studio album, Toy With Me, set for release on April 24, 2026, and shared its lead single, “Still Don’t Care,” a punchy anthem she wrote for “anyone who’s ever felt judged.”
Trainor rolled out the news on Instagram alongside the album’s hot-pink, dollhouse-inspired cover, marking what appears to be one of her boldest visual eras yet. The 16-track project opens its campaign with “Still Don’t Care,” which the singer calls “bold, fun, a little cheeky and full of confidence.”
In a statement, she explained, “This song came from a place of growth for me. I’m learning to shake off negativity, choosing joy, and living life my way — because at this point in my life and career, I’m ready to be done worrying about pleasing everyone. ‘Still Don’t Care’ is my reminder to myself — and to anyone who’s ever felt judged.”
The single continues Trainor’s knack for stitching empowerment into glossy, hook-heavy pop, combined with an edge sharpened by nearly a decade in the spotlight. Toy With Me arrives two years after Timeless, her 2024 LP that reached No. 27 on the Billboard 200 and solidified her comeback momentum. All six of her previous albums have charted in the U.S., starting with her No. 1 debut, Title, in 2015.
Along with the album news, Meghan Trainor revealed plans for a full North American run in 2026. The Get In Girl Tour — featuring Icona Pop and Ryan Trainor — kicks off June 12 in Clarkston, Michigan, and travels through major cities including New York, Chicago and Boston before wrapping Aug. 15 in Los Angeles.
“Toy With Me feels like the most honest and fearless I’ve ever been — it’s all about self-confidence, freedom and learning how to meet people where they are at,” Trainor said. “I wanted to kick off this new chapter with a song that makes people feel unstoppable, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy to everyone on The Get In Girl Tour next summer.”
Trainor’s announcement caps an already milestone-filled year; Billboard honored her with the 2025 Hitmaker Award at its annual Women in Music event this March, underscoring her sustained influence on contemporary pop.
As fans queue up “Still Don’t Care” and dissect the new era’s aesthetic, Toy With Me is shaping up to be Trainor’s most self-assured chapter yet — one rooted in growth, grit and a refusal to shrink.
